Sole Plate:
– Used to distribute the load
– Large pieces of metal under the base plate to spread the load over a wide surface area when the scaffold is erected on soft ground
– Size 300 mm × 300mm × 6mm
– Used under every base plate where the foundation surface is soil or soft ground.
– Use of sole plate if the thickness of the concrete roof is less than 75mm.
